The Matrix 220 XAI imager is the most compact image-based barcode reader for top performance in reading DPM codes (direct part marking), even where code quality is severely impaired. Ideal for electronics, the automotive industry and packaging.

The new Matrix 220 XAI models take performance to a new level by combining the fastest auto-setup routine, additional processing power, optimized software multithreading and an AI-based approach (DecodeX) - the decoding process is up to 2.5 times faster.

The Matrix 220 XAI offers polarized and diffuse light options (red or blue) in a single model for optimum illumination on any surface. Electronic focus control makes it easy to change the working distance remotely. The industry-standard IP65/IP67 rating and the operating temperature range of 0 to 45 °C guarantee robustness in manufacturing. On the communication side, the Matrix 220 XAI offers PROFINET/IO and ETHERNET/IP industrial fieldbus as well as OPC UA for Industry 4.0.
