Das OPT-C3X45-SWIR steht in OPTs Serie „SWIR-Objektive“ für Abbildungsmaßstab 0,3 × – 1,0 ×, Blende F4,5 – F22, Bildkreis Ø11 mm (2/3"). Außerdem: Arbeitsabstand 87 mm ± 3 %, C-Mount, Spektralbereich 900 – 1700 nm.
Die SWIR-Objektive sind für das kurzwellige Infrarot von 900 bis 1700 nm gerechnet und vergütet - für InGaAs-Kameras mit 1"-Sensor und 5-µm-Pixeln. Im sichtbaren Bereich gerechnete Optiken verlieren in diesem Band Auflösung und Kontrast; hier bleibt beides erhalten. Typische Anwendungen sind Füllstandskontrolle durch Kunststoff, Feuchte- und Sortieraufgaben, Solarzellen- und Halbleiterprüfung.
Bei der Auswahl zählt das Zusammenspiel von Sensorgröße, Pixelgröße, Sichtfeld und Arbeitsabstand - die Brennweite allein sagt wenig.
